Portrait photography is my specialty. From editorial and family to fashion and fine art all things people are what I shoot best. I originally was a graphic designer that needed to build up a stock-image library for projects: so I bought a camera. As time etched on I was spending more time behind the lens than I was designing. This was more than 10 years ago and I haven't looked back. The switch, for me, came pretty natural. The post-processing was an easy curve with my design background and composition came natural as I've over 20 years of formal training in the traditional arts. Photography was a bit of a challenge, the technique was different than that of a more traditional medium I was used to, creating something from nothing rather than creating from what was given to me. Through my own trial and error, as well as, studying photography at the Academy of Art University I have built a solid base in the understanding of the photographic medium. I will, however, always be a student. Currently my work can be found published in several international magazines, locally in publications, academically through the Master of Fine Art (MFA) curriculum at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California and in many private collections.
